The bus continued on it's route and Nadine Laughlin was almost back to the point at which she had boarded the bus. At this stage to attract attention Laughlin decided to force herself to fall onto the ground to draw attention.

Laughlin's plan worked and she received attention after she fell to the floor. Laughlin was on the #22 MacDonald bus traveling to work. She suffered a mass stroke while seated right behind the bus driver. She slipped in and out of consciosnous.

A passenger aboard the bus says that Laughlin's condition wasn't obvious. Coast Mountain Bus Company says that it's usual for drivers to check for any passengers and lost articles when reaching the end of the route. The bus company will investigate this matter further. So far Coast Mountain Bus hasn't received a formal complaint from the family.
