Whether or not you'll be enjoying a 'White Christmas' depends on which part of Vancouver you're living in. Across the Lower Mainland the weather forecast for Christmas Eve is sunny with clouds rolling in by nightfall. There's no chance for snow on Christmas Eve.
Christmas morning, however, may permit a chance of snowfall in certain parts of the city. Parts of the southcoast are likely to see snow falling on Christmas morning. Cold easterly front moving in will combine with precipitation to perhaps provide snowfall at higher elevations. It is most likely that most of the city will experience wet snow, or snow mixed with showers, on Christmas Day. The Fraser Valley will likely have wet snow. By afternoon the wet snow in all areas will change to rain.
This year may not provide a 'White Christmas' hoped for by many residents.
